WE MADE IT to Paris France!!!

All my bags are packed...I'm ready to go...I'm standing her inside my house..waiting for my parents to pick me up...what could go wrong.

Well, here's how the day started out...Made it to the airport on time.  After being "searched" before even boarding in Portland (my knee brace had metal on sides) the flight actually went pretty fast and was SO comfortable. I would recommend First Class to . What fun. It started with a warm washcloth to wipe our hands before a meal, a real pillow and comforter. I ordered tenderloin with shrimp and it came with two appetizers, a salad with blue cheese (yuck) and choice of dessert (cheese cake, ice cream or fruit & cheese)...Just like the good ole days...wow, now that dates me. *smile* I was in a state of shock and awe the whole trip...like "can you believe this, can you believe that"...I've never said thank you so much in my life. We had a choice of about 15 movies we could watch. I watched 3 different ones with my seat fully reclined...and we are NOT talking moving 5" back like in coach; and legs reclined too. Time just flew by. Man that's the way to fly.

Captain Kyla at your service...yes only me could accomplish this task after 911...

Thanks Guys!..(Pilot(s) and Co-Pilot(s)) for letting me visit your space, your time, your kindness,  & offering me a hat...all captured in a special moment in time.

We are now sitting in the Amsterdam airport waiting for our next flight...of course after getting in trouble because we brought water from one flight to the next and had to went through a check point to get to our next flight...and for taking a picture of the check point. Leave it to me. But he let me keep the picture I took on my camera.  LOL  So on we go to Paris, France next.

Now a comparrison. We flew first class from Amsterdam to Paris and it was almost like flying coach. We did get a small lunch and the seats had a little more padding, but that was it. Of course to their defence it was only a 55 min. trip and we did get lunch.

April 3rd, 4pm: My feet are officially on foreign soil.  I'm looking up at the Eiffel Tower and realizing that this is for real, not a picture on the internet or a scene in a movie...and it's AMAZING.  There are no words to describe the actual design of it.  You wonder how it stands so tall and firmly in place; when you actually see the angles in person.  I was amazed at the sheer amount of people in one place.  The crowd was so large with Easter weekend beginning today.  It was a mad house as we were watching the police on bicycles chasing the illegal vendors off the sidewalk.  The vendors would grab the cloths that their items were set on, on the sidewalk, and run.  As soon as he road his bike toward another one trying to set up shop those others would drop their items and start selling.  It was funny to watch.  We walked all over town taking pictures of the buildings, fruit stands and bread shops.  My feet are officially sore and we are only on our first day...lol  Falling asleep while typing - we have almost been up for over 24 hours with only a little rest on the plane...running on empty comes to mind.  Will sleep well tonight...please ignore any mistakes in my typing.  Haviing a GREAT time.
First view of the Eiffel Tower

Easter Holiday so they are out in force  My sister Karin and her husband Dave told me they had an encounter on a subway with 4 of these fellows in the evening...now that was an experience for sure, as they look very dominating and daughting out here in public..

ABOVE, Paris France is changing...but for the better?  Not according to our shuttle driver who said it would be ok in newer areas, but hey are tearing down and building these and he's not for that.  BELOW: Proof that I am really in Paris, France and not working...
Talk more with you all tomorrow.  Let's hope the sun comes out sooner, no more rain or wind.  We ate and early dinner at a little Cafe a few blocks down the road from our place.  I decided on a salad with ham and egg (like a chopped salad) and it came with one large sunnyside up egg on top of the salad (not a hard boiled egg).  Deeanna and I will sleep REALLY well tonight.  Could not find my eros set aside for hotels searched everything twice...finally found it hid in bottom of long zipperd area,,Thank You Jesus...lol  Signing off...Kyla
